Picnic and Trip to Yangmingshan (Oct 18, 2003) |
|
After we finished the departmental barbecue, we headed up to Yangmingshan National Park. Yangmingshan is just north of Taipei, within scooter or public bus range. It is extremely popular due to the great views, clean air, and easy hikes. There are also many geothermal vents that shoot large quantities of steam into the air and heat water for the hotsprings and spas further down. The pictures on this page were taken by Shin-Hung and his excellent digital camera. Typical barbecue items include pork, chicken, lamb, fish, sausage, and tianbula (tempura). At Yangmingshan |
