Oliver goes to a private kindergarten called Xinmiao (Happy Sprouts), which is a 3-minute walk from our home. He has now moved up from the Duckling class (the xiao-xiao ban, or 'little-little class') to the next-youngest class, called the xiao ban, also called the White Rabbit Class.

Just like at Clara's kindergarten, the first thing children do when they get to school is take off their shoes and switch into slippers.   At Oliver's kindergarten, instead of dancing outside, they start the day out in an enormous basement. Oliver's kindergarten is known for its excellent music and dance program.
