Oliver James Emery

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Oliver James Emery.  Oliver was born at home at 6:40 am, Tuesday April 11, after an astonishingly fast (3 hour) labor.  Van caught him, and Clara looked on with amazement and delight.  As he was born, Clara said "There's the baby!"

Since we weren't expecting the labor to go quite so fast, we didn't call the midwives in time; they showed up about 20 minutes after Oliver!  It was a wonderful, wonderful birth, and all three of us are in love with the newest member of our family!

He weighed 7 lbs, 10 oz at birth, is 21 inches long, and has dark hair.
